Romulo Melo: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Self-Defense
With Romulo Melo
Saturday, June 13
1:00pm – 3:00pm
$30
Train with Romulo Melo for a focused, two-hour workshop on how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu actually works in real-world self-defense.
This is not sport Jiu-Jitsu. This is about what to do when a fight hits the ground—how to stay calm, take control, and get yourself to safety.
What You’ll Learn
Stay calm and make decisions when a fight hits the ground
Escape bad positions and get back to your feet
Control someone under pressure without relying on sport rules
Know when to disengage vs. stay and dominate position
Apply simple, high-percentage techniques that work in real situations
This workshop is especially valuable if you train Krav Maga, Boxing, or Kickboxing and want to round out your ground skills.
About Romulo Melo

Who This Is For
Complete beginners who want real self-defense skills
Strikers who want to feel confident if a fight goes to the ground
Experienced grapplers looking to sharpen their self-defense approach
Anyone who wants practical, pressure-tested training
No prior experience required.
Why This Matters
Most fights don’t look like a BJJ match. There are no rules, no points, and no reset.
This workshop focuses on control, decision-making, and getting back to safety—not winning a round.
