What Is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a practical, no-nonsense self-defense system designed to help everyday people protect themselves in real-world situations. At Forge Krav Maga, we teach more than technique—we teach confidence, resilience, and readiness. You don’t need to be a fighter to start. You just need to show up.
Real-World Skills. Zero Ego. All Levels Welcome.
Our classes are built for everyone—from total beginners to lifelong martial artists. We train people of all genders, backgrounds, and fitness levels. If you’re looking for a safe, supportive, and ego-free environment to learn how to defend yourself, you’re in the right place.
Whether you're walking home from work, riding BART at night, or just want to feel more capable in your body—Krav Maga is built for you.

How Is Krav Maga Different from Kickboxing or BJJ?
Krav Maga is not a sport. There are no points, belts, or competitions here. Instead, we train for the chaos of real life.
Unlike boxing or Muay Thai, Krav Maga includes defenses against grabs, weapons, and ground attacks.
Unlike BJJ, we don’t assume you’ll fight one person in a controlled setting. We train for multiple attackers and unknown environments.
Our goal isn’t to “win”—it’s to survive, escape, and defend others if needed.

What Our Students Say
“Micha and his team at Forge are fantastic. I’ve trained in a number of different martial arts across many gyms, and Forge offers the best training I’ve seen. The coaches at Forge are very technical and are excellent teachers. Forge also offers a supportive and low ego community, which is critical for learning any martial art. Whether you’re looking for fitness, self defense, or sport fighting, Forge is a great fit. Check out a class and you won’t regret it.”
