Modern Self-Defense Training in San Francisco
Modern Krav Maga
for Real Life
Integrated self-defense training combining Krav Maga, Dutch Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Kali. Forge helps real people build confidence, resilience, and practical self-defense skills through pressure-tested training in a welcoming, no-ego environment.
Why Forge Feels Different
Forge combines modern Krav Maga, striking, grappling, and weapons training into a practical self-defense program built for real life.
Pressure-Tested Training
Real self-defense requires more than memorizing techniques. We use drills, sparring, games, and scenario training to build confidence, adaptability, and decision-making under pressure.
Integrated Self-Defense
Real violence doesn’t stay neatly inside one martial art. Forge combines striking, clinch work, grappling, and weapons training into a practical system designed for real-world situations.
Welcoming, No-Ego Culture
You do not need experience, athleticism, or confidence to start. Forge is built around supportive coaching, intelligent training, and a community that helps beginners and advanced students grow together.
— Elsa B
“Krav Maga taught me to handle anything—whether it’s dodging punches or navigating SF as a young woman. After 8 years, I’m still here for the practical, no-nonsense training and the supportive community.”

Train With Good People
Forge is built around serious training, supportive coaching, and a community that pushes each other to improve.
Many of our students are new to San Francisco, looking for connection, or simply trying to find a place where they can challenge themselves alongside good people.
They come from different backgrounds and experience levels, but they share a common goal: becoming more capable, resilient, and confident through training together.
