September 2026
student Level Testing
Ready to show what you’ve got?
Saturday, September 12, 2026
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Forge Krav Maga | Hayes Valley, San Francisco
Five hours.
One opportunity to prove that the skills you've been building in class hold up when you're tired, under pressure, and expected to perform.
Forge Student Level Testing isn't a belt ceremony or a participation trophy. It's a structured evaluation designed to measure real progress. You'll be challenged physically, mentally, and technically while demonstrating the skills required for your current level.
If you're ready, we'll know. If you're not, we'll tell you exactly what to work on. That's how improvement happens.
What You'll Be Tested On
Every level has different technical requirements, but every student is evaluated in the same way.
You'll be tested on:
Technical execution
Conditioning and endurance
Decision-making under pressure
Control and composure when fatigued
Your ability to keep performing when things get difficult
Testing isn't about looking perfect.
It's about demonstrating that you can apply your skills when you're challenged.
Who Can Test?
Student Level Testing is open to Forge students from Practitioner 1 through Graduate levels.
Before registering, you'll need instructor approval. That simply means your coaches believe you're training consistently, have completed the required class count, and are prepared for the physical demands of testing.
If you're unsure whether you're ready, ask any coach. We'll give you an honest answer. That’s all it takes.
What to Bring
You'll be training both indoors and outdoors throughout the afternoon.
Please bring:
Water
A snack
Indoor and outdoor training shoes
A change of clothes
Any braces, tape, or supports you normally train with
BONUS: we’re taking pictures. If you have a Forge shirt, wear it!
The best preparation starts before test day.
Eat well, get a full night's sleep, and arrive ready to fight for every technique.
Why We Test
Progress isn't measured by how long you've been training.
It's measured by what you can actually do.
Testing gives students an honest benchmark of their skills, helps identify strengths and weaknesses, and reinforces one of Forge's core beliefs:
Capability is earned.
Every level represents real work, real pressure, and real growth.
That's what makes it meaningful.
